Women Empowerment

Self-Help Groups

The Self-Help Groups (SHGs) Empowerment Initiative strengthens rural women by promoting savings, financial inclusion, entrepreneurship, and collective decision-making. The initiative enables women to become financially independent while contributing to sustainable community development.

The Story

Recognizing that empowered women are the foundation of prosperous villages, Neeru Yadav actively promoted the formation and strengthening of Self-Help Groups (SHGs) across the Gram Panchayat.

The initiative encourages women to save collectively, access financial services, participate in livelihood activities, and establish small businesses. Through regular meetings, training sessions, and awareness programs, women gain knowledge in financial management, entrepreneurship, digital literacy, and government welfare schemes.

Beyond economic empowerment, SHGs have become platforms for leadership development, social awareness, health, education, environmental conservation, and community participation. Women are now playing a greater role in local governance and decision-making, contributing to the overall development of the village.

Today, the SHG movement has created stronger families, resilient communities, and new opportunities for rural women to become entrepreneurs and changemakers.
