Neeru Yadav, popularly known as the "Hockey Wali Sarpanch," was selected as a Grassroots Leader Panelist at the BRICS Women Ministerial Meeting held on 8–9 July 2026 in Kochi, Kerala. She represented grassroots leadership by sharing innovative rural governance practices, women-led development initiatives, and community-driven models for sustainable development with delegates and policymakers from BRICS countries.
