Pakshi Ghar (Bird House) Initiative – Creating Safe Homes for Birds

The Story

Recognizing the rapid decline of bird populations due to habitat loss, deforestation, and climate change, Neeru Yadav launched the Pakshi Ghar (Bird House) Initiative to create a safe and sustainable environment for birds.

Under this initiative, a large Pakshi Ghar was established with the capacity to accommodate more than 2,000 birds. Designed as a permanent bird shelter, it provides secure nesting spaces where birds can safely live, breed, and raise their young without disturbance.

To support bird welfare throughout the year, clean drinking water and food are regularly provided, especially during the harsh summer months when natural resources become scarce. Native trees have also been planted around the shelter to create a healthy ecosystem that attracts a wide variety of bird species.

More than just a conservation project, the Pakshi Ghar has become a symbol of compassion, biodiversity conservation, and community participation, inspiring people to protect wildlife and coexist harmoniously with nature.
